Alex Bose, Director of Tennis

Alex Bose is bringing Bose Tennis and his programs to Lake Region Yacht and Country Club. Director of Tennis, Alex Bose has been in the Florida area since 1991 when he began training at the world famous Nick Bollettieri/ IMG Tennis Academy. Under Bollettieri’s guidance, Alex reached the top 25 in the ITF World Junior rankings competing in all four Grand Slam events including Wimbledon, the French, Australian and the US Open.

Alex went on to play collegiate tennis on a full scholarship for #2 NCAA Division 1 ranked Duke University and while playing professional tennis on the ATP World Tour he was ranked among the top 500 players in the world. His most memorable win on tour while traveling to over 35 different countries was beating ATP top 10 player Paradorn Srichapan of Thailand. Alex’s favorite tournament memory was competing in the Wimbledon Championships.

Alex has trained, traveled or played against some of the world most famous players like Tommy Haas, Anna Kournikova, Martina Hingis, Andre Agassi, Bjorn Borg, Monica Seles and Gustavo Kuerten, just to name a few. After graduating from Duke University, Alex has been working with all levels of juniors, collegiate and professional players and has created and developed tennis programs for country clubs and tennis resorts throughout the United States.

Alex is also experienced with Cardio Tennis, Little Tennis, USTA Leagues and USTA QuickStart Tennis. He is a member of the USPTA, USPTR, USTA and ATP and is currently still very active in competing when time permits and boasts a ranking of #1 in singles, doubles and mixed doubles in the Open Division in Florida winning 2 national titles in 2010. He is also part of USTA High Performance Coaching program.

Alex is now bringing his passion for tennis and his 30 years of experience in the industry to teach members of all ages and levels at Lake Region Yacht & Country Club. Alex has two children, Irish twins named Maddox and Sophie.
